He was obviously not indicted on the looting of the fund and one is equally shocked that the Senate committee was silent on the reported balance of N7.5billion left in the account during Fani-Kayode’s tenure....

The Senate Committee on Aviation on its findings indicted Borishade and Iyayi and recommended that they should refund the N5billion which it affirmed was the inflation of the safe tower project but also noted that the said issue was already in court. It is also very important to note that only one Former Minister was told to refund money and not two. Femi Fani-Kayode was not indicted in any way and was not told to refund any money....

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, obviously, would have started regretting the day his path and that of one Chioma Anasoh crossed. The reason being that fresh facts emanating from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, his prosecutors, have it that it was the dark skinned lady that supplied all his financial secrets...

For the past one year, the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been under intense stress from various quarters, especially his political colleagues. During the N19.5 billion aviation intervention probe, simply on the order of a powerful politician in government, Fani-Kayode, despite being the whistle blower and having been virtually exonerated from any misappropriation himself, was arrested and kept in custody of the EFCC for nearly 13 days, along with those blamed for the mismanagement of the funds.

On the 22nd of December 2008, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was re-arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged allegations of money laundering. He was arraigned on a 49 count charge for money laundering. This was clearly politically motivated and provided more evidence of the persecution that the Yaradua regime was unleashing on all those that worked closely with Olusegun Obasanjo. Amongst those that have been subjected to similar persection are Nuhu Ribadu , Nasir El-rufai and Bode George.There is absolutely no evidence of money laundering against Fani-Kayode and he has sworn to clear his good name in the court of law.
