I am glad to hear that General Muhammadu Buhari has rejected the suggestion of Boko Haram to represent them in talks with the Federal Government. My confidence in and respect for the General remains intact and it is fair to say that since he has turned BH down he cannot possibly be described as its face.
This wall will always honour its word. I wrote on the thread of my posting on this topic yesterday that if General Buhari rejected the role that BH wanted him to play then I would withdraw the comments that I made about him. He has done so now and I therefore withdraw my earlier comments.
Thank goodness that he recognised the fact that it would have been totally unacceptable and utterly disasterous for a man of his status and stature to play such a role. General Buhari is well above the likes of Boko Haram and he should remain there. I wish him well.
