Mr. Kolawole Odetola, who I do not know and I have never met, wrote the following contributuon and every Yoruba man and woman ought to read it.

It is utterly mind-blowing. It is wicked. It is evil. It is unacceptable. How much more bloodshed, carnage, violence, insults and humiliation are the people of the South West expected to take? Soldiers are whipping our people like dogs in the street in order to reinstate those that are killing, raping and maiming them?

This is a robust condemnation of a man that has been variously described as the 'Lion of Bourdillon', the 'Jagaban of Borgu' and the 'Asiwaju of Iragbiji' and the words reflect the utter contempt that Bakare has for him.

It is most disconcerting when a handful of mischievous, reckless dangerous and hopelessly misguided religious zealots and ethnic bigots that ought to know better like the Sokoto-based Muslim Solidarity Forum issue threats and give quit notices and ultimatums to leading members of the Christian community like Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah.

This is disappointing and unacceptable and, if not handled properly, has the potential of leading to a major religious conflagration and crisis. I say this because Kukah is deeply loved by millions from all over the country and the Christian community rever and adore him.

You keep screaming "Trump will go to jail! Trump will go to jail!"

You even went as far as to boastfully proclaim that,

"Trump is shameless and he will spend the rest of his life in prison!" and that "he’s fighting for his life, but it is too late!".

Your dark heart, sheer cruelty and sadistic disposition and your hateful, uncouth, unlettered and ignorant assertions never cease to amaze me!

Frankly I do not know whether to laugh or cry!

Meanwhile you do not have the guts to say that the tyrant and psycopath that has turned you into a slave in your own country, that is ruling and killing you and your people, that has turned you into the poorest and most wretched people in the world, that has transformed your nation into the biggest banana republic and joke on the African continent, that has destroyed your future, that has taken away your peace, that has buried your joy and that has stripped and robbed you of all your glory, honor, self-respect and dignity will even miss a heartbeat for his heart-wrentching and barbaric atrocities let alone go to jail.

It is after midnight Nigerian time and we have just slipped into the 6th day of January 2021.

Today is the "D-day" for America and the rest of the world and whatever happens later today will shape the collective fortunes of not just America but also humanity into the foreseeable future.
