I have been in Umuahia since tuesday morning spending some good quality time with my friend and brother Governor Theodore Orji.
He and I went to Ohafia today to attend a grand reception held in honor of Chief Ojo Maduekwe, the former Minister of Transport, the former Minister of Culture and Tourism, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and our serving Ambassador to Canada.
Today is 17th November 2014 and it was a great day for us in court. I give thanks to God. After we made our no case submission I was discharged and acquitted of 38 counts out of the 40 count charge that the EFCC proferred against me a number of years ago.
Forty nine innocent little boys were butchered by Boko Haram in their schools on 10th November 2014 as they resumed class in Yobe state. The question must be asked: is there any limit to the depravity of these monsters and those that secretly support and encourage them?
I may not know much but one thing that I know is this: the spilling of innocent blood has terrible consequences for both the land on which it is spilt and for those that spill it. I am talking about long-term generational consequences.
I read Mr. Don C. Adinuba's article titled 'Toying With The Fire Of Religion' in Thisday Newspaper on 5th November 2014. He raised some interesting points, some of which I will attempt to address here. There is a grave affliction that has gripped our land. That affliction is known as willful delusion. Thankfully not all Nigerians suffer from it but many of them do: particularly those from the south. They believe that religion does not play a role in our politics and that it never has done.
This is indeed the time for us to answer some hard questions and speak some home truths. It is a season that shall separate the men from the boys. It is a time that the holy and wholesome light of truth shall overwhelm and expose the evil darkness of doublespeak and deceit. It is a season that the enunciation and exposure of the ugly realities of the day must not be sacrificed or compromised on the alter of political expediency or on the table of fear. Thankfully there are a few courageous and discerning voices that have risen to the occasion, made the relevant observations and asked the right questions. Amongst them are Mr. Bayo Oladeji and Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje. Permit me to begin with the former.

''When I say that the Presidency must come to the north next year I am referring to the Hausa-Fulani core north and not any northern Christian or Muslim minority tribe.
The Christians in the north are nothing and the muslim minorities in the north know that when we are talking about leadership in the north and in Nigeria, Allah has given it to us, the Hausa-Fulani.

The good news is that a ceasefire has been announced between the Federal Government and Boko Haram and the girls may well be released very soon.
This came as a consequence of the fact that the Nigerian military finally managed to acquire the weapons that they so badly needed to fight Boko Haram and, having done so, they were able to bring the terrorists to their knees.
My counsel has always been that the Federal Government ought to crush Boko Haram utterly, beat them to a pulp in the field of battle, force them into retreat, decimate their defences, eliminate their leaders, bring them to justice and, after all that has been achieved, the terrorists would have no choice but to come begging through their numerous friends and surrogates.
I spent my birthday at the swearing-in of my friend and brother Governor Ayo Fayose as Governor of Ekiti state in Ado Ekiti on October 16th. It was a grand occasion and I was very happy for him and the people of Ekiti state.
I had arrived in Ado Ekiti the night before and on arrival I had a lovely dinner with Fayose, Akin Oshuntokun, Governor Gbenga Daniel and the Hon. Min. of State for Defence Musiliu Obanikoro (who had resigned from the cabinet earlier that day in order to pursue his ambition to run for the governorship of Lagos state next year) at the Spotless Hotel.
They were all between the ages of 15 and 18. They were eager to get a good education and to make something of their lives. 90 per cent of them were Christians who believed passionately that their God would always protect them and make a way for them in the predominantly Muslim Borno state where they resided in north-eastern Nigeria.
God loves Nigeria so much. For those that doubt it kindly consider the following.
They created ebola in their demonic labs for bio weapons. They sent the disease to our shores through an insane Liberian but the Lord defended us and refused to allow it to take root in our shores.
