I disagree with those that have described Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian/American that single-handedly brought the deadly ebola virus into our shores, as a madman. He was not mad at all but just evil. He was a man that was on a mission. That mission was to spread the ebola virus to Nigeria and to infect and kill as many people as possible with it.
Whilst at Public Affairs Femi Fani-Kayode was President Obasanjo's chief ideologue and propagandist. He was loved, respected and admired by those who supported Obasanjo but he was intensely disliked and feared by those who opposed him. This was as a consequence of the passionate and aggressive way in which Femi Fani-Kayode took on Obasanjo's many traducers and defended the President. The office of public affairs within the Presidency had effectively become a shadowy and powerful weapon of war in Obasanjo's arsenal whilst Fani-Kayode ran and headed it. He reported directly to Obasanjo and he was regarded by the President more like a son than an aide.
For the last two weeks I have been in the field in Osun state campaigning for my friend, brother and kinsman and my party's candidate in the governorship election,
Senator Iyiola Omisore. It has been a gruelling yet wonderful experience and I am very proud to have been part of the team and so deeply involved.
Love is beautiful but it can also ravage and destroy. It brings pleasure and it brings pain. It brings joy and it brings sorrow. It brings light and it brings darkness. It brings laughter and it brings tears. It brings peace and it brings turmoil. It brings tranquility and it brings turbulence. It brings serenity and it brings rage. It brings harmony and it brings fury. It brings construction and it brings destruction. It brings heaven and it brings hell. It brings loyalty and it brings betrayal.
Whoever it was that shot down Malaysian Airline flight MH 17 which was carrying innocent civilians through the skies of eastern Ukraine whilst on it's way from Amstersdam to Melbourne on 17 July 2014 has indulged in an act of exceptional barbarity.
Ayo mi, the one that brings me joy. The one whose beauty is stunning and relentless and who carries the glory of the sun and the moon.
The one that…
When the Lord establishes the reasons and creates the circumstances for you to move on from anyone that you were once close to and when He makes a way for a new beginning for you, never complain and never look back.
Don't be like Lot's wife lest you turn into a pillar of salt. Don't be like the children of Israel that were led by Moses into the desert only for them to begin to yearn and crave for the ''onions and garlic of Egypt'' where they had once been slaves.
Ever since I left Almajiri United they have been insulting `mecand getting their Haramite footsoldiers to attack me in the newspapers and on the social media with all manner of press statements, sponsored essays and paid adverts. If this is an attempt to intimidate me or discredit me I wish to assure them that it will not work and neither will I lose any sleep over it. As a matter of fact I am used to such shenanigans and better than them have tried in the last 24 years ever since I joined partisan politics.
On 22nd July 2014 General Muhammadu Buhari told The Nation Newspaper that "our country has gone through several rough patches, but never before have I seen a Nigerian President declare war on his own country as we are seeing now. Never before have I seen a Nigerian President deploy federal institutions in the service of partisanship as we are witnessing now. Never before have I seen a Nigerian President utilize the common wealth to subvert the system and punish the opposition, all in the name of politics. Our nation has suffered serious consequences in the past for egregious acts that are not even close to what we are seeing now. It is time to pull the brakes''.
I sit in my study silently: head-bowed, pensive and all alone on a pitch black, cold and wet December night sometime in the distant past. It is after midnight, the guard dogs are on the prowl and have long been released, the wind is blowing fiercely and it is pouring with rain outside.
I read the response of the APC through it's spokesman Lai Mohammed to my allegations and assertions in the interview that I gave to Channels TV on 30th June 2014. The said response appeared in a number of newspapers on 1st July 2014.
