If not for the courage and sheer gallantry of the men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces Boko Haram would have taken over Bama and many other towns in north-eastern Nigeria by now and things would have been far worse.
We must not fail to commend and encourage our soldiers when they do a good job because they are the only thing that stand between us and the demon hordes.
The CIA have confirmed the fact that up to 30,000 soldiers are now fighting for ISIS, ISIL and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Given this sobering news it is a matter of tremendous relief and indeed joy that President Barack Obama has announced that it is the intention of the United States to ‘’degrade and destroy’’ ISIL by launching a series of deadly airstrikes and to play a more vigorous and active role in the fight against terror.
The Holy Bible says, ”who is he that sayeth a thing and it cometh to pass when the Lord God of Hosts has commanded it not?”
It says, ”who can lay…
ISIS is now a threat to the entire civilised world. In Nigeria the islamist terorist group called Boko Haram have drawn immense inspiration and courage from the successes of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
ISIS is the greatest threat to world peace today and they have committed more horrors and indulged in more violence than any other islamist terrorist organisation that has ever existed.
I read the grave allegations made by an Australian by the name of Mr. Stephen Davis about those that he believes are behind Boko Haram in the 29th August edition of Thisday Newspaper. He made some very serious allegations, he mentioned names and I would be interested in seeing the hard evidence that he claims to have.
There is something that I have discovered about myself......call it a mystery if you like. Anytime my wife is close to me and around me I feel a deep sense of confidence, peace and security and all manner of blessings flow into my life.
In an essay titled ''A Virus Called Ebola and the Secret Club From Hell'' (Premium Times, 17th August 2014) I wrote that Patrick Sawyer, the American/Liberian that brought the ebola virus to Nigeria ''was an evil man with an evil intention and purpose''. I went further by writing that: ''worst still he was not working alone. Some people, and I mean rich, powerful and well-connected people, were working with him. As a matter of fact they sent him on the mission''.
I disagree with those that have described Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian/American that single-handedly brought the deadly ebola virus into our shores, as a madman. He was not mad at all but just evil. He was a man that was on a mission. That mission was to spread the ebola virus to Nigeria and to infect and kill as many people as possible with it.
Whilst at Public Affairs Femi Fani-Kayode was President Obasanjo's chief ideologue and propagandist. He was loved, respected and admired by those who supported Obasanjo but he was intensely disliked and feared by those who opposed him. This was as a consequence of the passionate and aggressive way in which Femi Fani-Kayode took on Obasanjo's many traducers and defended the President. The office of public affairs within the Presidency had effectively become a shadowy and powerful weapon of war in Obasanjo's arsenal whilst Fani-Kayode ran and headed it. He reported directly to Obasanjo and he was regarded by the President more like a son than an aide.
For the last two weeks I have been in the field in Osun state campaigning for my friend, brother and kinsman and my party's candidate in the governorship election,
Senator Iyiola Omisore. It has been a gruelling yet wonderful experience and I am very proud to have been part of the team and so deeply involved.
Love is beautiful but it can also ravage and destroy. It brings pleasure and it brings pain. It brings joy and it brings sorrow. It brings light and it brings darkness. It brings laughter and it brings tears. It brings peace and it brings turmoil. It brings tranquility and it brings turbulence. It brings serenity and it brings rage. It brings harmony and it brings fury. It brings construction and it brings destruction. It brings heaven and it brings hell. It brings loyalty and it brings betrayal.
Whoever it was that shot down Malaysian Airline flight MH 17 which was carrying innocent civilians through the skies of eastern Ukraine whilst on it's way from Amstersdam to Melbourne on 17 July 2014 has indulged in an act of exceptional barbarity.
